I am Vincent Flifli, from The Benin Republic. I am a Ph.D student at the Centre of Excellence in Agricultural Development and Sustainable Environment (CEADESE) of the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, Ogun State. I am of the set 2015-2016 academic year. I am under the programme of Agricultural Economicsand Environmental Policy.
I have chosen CEADESE to do my Ph. D because it has a good and diversified programmes. The fact thatthe center uses lecturers from different colleges of the FUNAAB allows it to havegood and long track record lecturers for teaching and supervisory. Besides, CEADESE is also a practical training-focused centre where many practical trainings are often organized through workshops, preparing then its students for professional experience.
My research Topic is “Rice value chain financing and production efficiency in Benin Republic”. This topic makes it clear that my research interest is agricultural finance, especially financing based on value chain. The aim being to identify where are the bottlenecks and constraints along the different segments of the chain and through research evidence-basedfindings, break the said constraints for the rural households’ livelihood improvement.
